Public categories

Is it possible to make certain categories public and read-only while others are private?

  • Hi Hannah , thanks for your question! Categories can be public or private. To set a category to private, go to Admin > Categories > Category Settings > Access and select Specific Members. You can then grant access to individual members or groups.

    For a public category to be read only:

    • Turn off the option to add new posts in Category Settings > Settings. Under Who can add topics, select Moderators only. 
    • Turn off replies in Category Settings > More options. Uncheck the Allow replies option.

  • It's also not clear on the website where it says the Pro plan includes "All core features" and the only Premium feature is Single sign-on.
