Uploading a GIF

Hi Forumbee,

What is the recommended way to upload a gif to a post? Should it be added as an attachment or an embedded video link?

Thank you in advance!

Hi Hannah , great question! A gif is treated like an image. You can upload a gif by clicking either of the image icons when you create a post. Here are screenshots that describe the differences:

Forumbee Support Thank you! Helpful to know they should be uploaded as an image rather than a video link.

Hi Kenji  , is this an animated gif? If there are a large number frames it can exceed the file size on the server because it expands all the frames. You can try reducing the number of frames to see if that helps. Please also send the file to us and we'll take a look too.
