Does your forum content build SEO value for my domain name?

  • Hi Jason, if your forums are public, search engines will index all forum content, which enhances your ability to place your relevant content in search results. You can also use domain aliasing, so that your forums are served from a subdomain on your website, such as "forums.yourdomain.com". Link backs to forum content will then point to your domain name.

  • Can I ask, will content that sits within private categories on a public forum also be indexed?

    • Hi Julia , private categories are only accessible to people that you grant access. Therefore, content in private categories is not visible to search engines and will not be indexed.
