Remove or Limit Votes

Hi team!  We're currently using (and loving) ForumBee with a "Share an idea" category as a feature suggestion area, where we have the voting buttons. But, the way our space works, allows for multiple users from the same company to participate, each of whom may express interest in voting for a feature. Is there a we could either limit the number of votes from a particular organization per post, or somehow remove these extra votes from the same organization so the data isn't skewed one way or the other, simply because one organization may have more ForumBee users than another?  We're open to suggestions too on how best to handle something like this. :)

Thanks!

Joe

Hi Joseph , thanks for your question and describing your scenario! There are a couple of possibilities.

One option would be to restrict Idea voting to only allow people within a specific user group to be able to vote for Ideas. (This is a custom setup which we can apply for you.) You would then designate one contact within a company to represent their company, and add them to the group. If this is of interest, let us know and we'll configure the user group permission for you.

Another option would be to export the vote data for each idea. With the exported data, you could see votes by email address and de-dupe based on email domain, then use the new totals. I will follow up directly with the export instructions. Thank you!
