Can I change the name of a category without impacting URL?

Hello,

I need to change the name of a category because our product name has changed.  How does this impact the URL?  Will the link name be changed? I fear that the links will all be changed, and any documentation will need to be updated.  Thank you.

    Thanks for reaching out! Changing the Category Name will not affect your URLs. The name and the URL are managed separately, so you can rename the category to match your new product name and all existing links will continue to work.

    The setting that does affect URLs is the "Category link" in category settings. If that value is changed, previously published links will break, so any documentation pointing to the old link would need to be updated.

    If you do decide you want the Category link updated to match the new product name, just let us know. We can set up a redirect from the old link to the new one so your existing links keep working. Feel free to reach out at support@forumbee.com with the old/new links and we can help.

       Thank you.  I appreciate the information about updating the Category link.  I was thinking of just changing the name of the category.  So my next steps would be to create new links for you to direct to the old links.  How much notice and time do you need to do this project?  It would be around 25 categories.
