Can I change settings so that everyone signed up for the forum will get a notification when a new question is posted?

    Hi Kim, I’ve enabled the "follow forum" feature for your account. This appears as a button in the forum to the right of the forum name. It allows your members to receive an email notification when a new question is posted in the forum.

    In the Notifications area (in Profile) Members can decide how frequently they want to be notified. They can choose to receive an email with every posting, or get a daily or weekly digest.

    There is currently no setting to switch this on by default for all members, but we will add this in a future release.

      Thank you, but I would like all members to receive notifications by default. Is there a way I can set them all to receive the notifications? Then they can change the settings on HOW they receive them.

      Hi Kim, we do not currently have a way for all members receive notifications by default. We will be adding this feature. It should be available in the early part of next year.

    Forumbee Support Found this thread from 3 years ago but still don't see this option (ability for all Users to have the option to receive notification) in our current environment. Assuming I'm not overlooking something, would you please enable that feature w/in our instance? I don't need for everyone to receive notifications by default; just the ability for Users to follow and receive notifications by what they opt in to. Thank you!

      Hi Peter , thanks for your question! I have enabled the category follow option in all of your categories. You should now see this at the top of each category:

       

      For future reference, the setting is located in Admin > Category settings > Notifications:
