Is it possible to have different separate spaces within our account so that our organization can use Forumbee with a different community?

Hi there --

We currently use Forumbee to manage one external-facing program at our organization. Is it possible to create a separate space that a different program could use, but still within our account?

Thank you!

Hi Hannah , you can set up private sections in your account and grant access to specific groups of people. For example, you could grant employees access to an 'employees only' area.

Keep in mind, there are several aspects that are shared across all of your account/community:

    • Branding (logo and community name)
    • Tags
    • Members area (all members are listed here)
    • Login / signup pages and some messages such as the email verification and forgot password emails

For info on setting up private areas, see these help articles:

I hope this helps! We are happy to continue to work with you to determine the best configuration for your community needs. Thank you!

Can we do this with "Sections" please? I really like the private categories, but we have a wealth of material, and we would like to create a digital wall between two parts of our community to create a public and private section (so to speak). If we could create private "Sections," it would allow us to create private "Categories" within those, and the topics and threads would regulate themselves.

Hi Dusty , I understand what you mean, that makes sense. Unfortunately, there isn't an option to set permissions at the Section level, because inheritance is not supported. The best option is for managing bulk category assignments is to use Groups.

Forumbee Support Thanks for the speedy response! Oh well... I had an idea that would make the forums a bit more useful, but I will see what I can do with categories. Thanks.
